報告內容摘要和報告人簡介:
Abstract: High-gain and high-performance waveguide slot arrays in millimeter-wave band are being developed in our laboratory for commercial applications. In the first half of this talk, the realizations of plate-laminated double-layer waveguide slot arrays in Q-band and E-band will be presented. Those antennas are designed for a broadband point-to-point fixed wireless access (FWA) systems. The designed antennas are fabricated by diffusion bonding of laminated thin metal plates, which is a promising process of high-precision and high mass-productivity. The antenna efficiencies higher than 80% are realized over the desired frequency range. In the second half of this talk, a 60 GHz-band compact-range wireless access system will be presented in detail. The large array antennas operating in their near-field regions provide us with an almost multipath-free propagation environment. A stable, long and wide communication zone can be realized. The effect of intersymbol interference due to the large antenna aperture size will also be explained.
Bio: Miao Zhang received the B.S., M.S. and D.E. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering all from Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech), Tokyo, Japan in 2003, 2005 and 2008, respectively. From 2005 to 2008, he was a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). Since 2008, he has been a researcher at Tokyo Tech, and he is given a title of Assistant Professor in Apr. 2013. His current research interests include waveguide slot arrays, millimeter-wave antennas and design technique for array antennas. He was a recipient of the Best Letter Award in 2009 from IEICE Communication Society, the Young Engineer Award in 2010 from IEICE Technical Committee on Antennas and Propagation, the IEEE AP-S Japan Chapter Young Engineer Award in 2011, and a Best Paper Award at the 9th European Conference on Antennas and Propagations in 2015.
