美國佛羅里達大學梅仁偉教授應邀來我校進行學術交流與訪問

應電子工程學院石光明教授的邀請,美國佛羅里達大學梅仁偉教授于2015年6月30日來我校進行學術交流與訪問。
6月30日上午,梅仁偉教授在主樓II區-227作了題為“Lattice Boltzmann Method for Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer”的精彩報告,報告會由石光明教授主持。梅仁偉教授首先介紹了熱格子玻爾茲曼方程的基本原理和最新進展,然后闡述了熱格子玻爾茲曼方法的邊界問題及求解方法,并簡要介紹了熱格子玻爾茲曼方程在流體及熱傳導計算中的應用。
在報告過程中,師生們結合自己的研究方向就報告內容與梅教授展開了討論。梅教授結合自己的經驗給出了一些建設性的意見。此次學術報告開拓了我校老師及同學們的學術視野,增強了學術研究氛圍,給予了大家極大的啟發和幫助。報告結束后,梅仁偉教授參觀了電子工程學院光電與信息工程系實驗室,對我實驗室近些年取得的成果給予了高度的評價,并積極推進雙方課題組的合作交流。
作者簡介:Dr. Renwei Mei received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1990. He joined the University of Florida in 1990 as faculty member. Dr. Mei is currently a Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida.
Dr. Mei has engaged in research in the areas of multi-phase flow and computational fluid dynamics. Some of his research topics include theoretical and computational analyses of the equation of motions of particle and bubbles at finite Reynolds number in fluid flows, dispersion and collision of particles in turbulent flows, nucleation, growth and departure of vapor bubbles near the heating surface, simulation of dense powder flows, desalination, the development of lattice Boltzmann method as efficient computational method for fluid flow and heat transfer, hydrogen production using water-splitting looping process, solar thermalchemical fuel production via non-volatile iron looping process. His research works are highly cited. Dr. Mei is recently named Pao Yu-Kong Chair Professor in the College of Energy Engineering at Zhejiang University. He has been on editorial board of Acta Mechanics Sinica since 2008.
