內容簡介：

A popular approach to solve large scale optimization problems involving big data is by the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM). The existing convergence analysis of this algorithm is limited mostly to the convex case. In this talk, we will present some recent work on the analysis of ADMM for the nonconvex case and discuss some open questions.

個人簡介：

羅智泉教授，1984年獲北京大學數學系學士學位，同年經美國數學學會以及美國工業與應用數學學會聯合選拔（又稱陳省身項目），進入美國麻省理工學院電子工程與計算機科學系以及運籌學中心學習，并于1989年獲得博士學位。1998年成為加拿大麥克馬斯特大學終身教授。2000年至2003年，任加拿大麥克馬斯特大學電子與計算機工程系主任。2003年至2014年，任美國明尼蘇達大學電子與計算機工程系終身教授。

羅教授是電子工程師學會（IEEE）會士和美國工業與應用數學學會（SIAM）會士。2012年，羅教授與西安電子科技大學國家雷達信號處理實驗室進行了卓有成效的合作。2014年他當選加拿大皇家科學院院士。2016年，入選廣東省領軍人才。

自2014年5月，羅智泉教授被聘為香港中文大學（深圳）副校長，主管學術和科研。2016年3月，兼任深圳市大數據研究院院長。2018年6月起，兼任香港中文大學（深圳）-騰訊 AI LAB機器智能聯合實驗室主任。
