報告人介紹:
Marc Lesturgie obtained the Engineering degree in 1985 from ENSAE in France (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace), and a Master degree in Electronic & Microwave from University of Toulouse in 1986. In 2005 he obtained a Research Directorship Habilitation thesis from the University of Paris VI. In 2006, Marc Lesturgie is appointed as Director of SONDRA (Supelec-ONERA-NUS-DSTA Research Alliance), a joint laboratory established in Supelec between France and Singapore.
In 2007 he is the Head of the Electromagnetics department in Supelec. In 2008, still Director of the SONDRA laboratory. He is today the General Chair of the 2014 International Radar conference in Lille. Senior member of the IEEE, Fellow and Emeritus of the SEE, Marc Lesturgie is author of over 80 journals and conference papers, more than 40 technical reports and lectures regularly on radar topics in French or overseas Universities.
Abstract: For the last ten years the radar community is facing new requirements in civilian and military radar surveillance and is actively studying new radar techniques and architectures to improve the quality of detection, tracking, classification and identification of various objects. Beside pure technological developments a new way of radar thinking has emerged from recent research and studies carried by the worldwide radar community, sometimes on the border of different areas: communication for new waveform design, MIMO strategies based on internet technologies, cognitive techniques for optimal radar scheduling, information theory and image processing for classification purpose, etc. The lecture will address the challenge to connect a number of useful applications with innovating and topical technologies.
The technologies addressed in the lecture are :
- HF Radar, for longer distance and low altitude detection,
- UHF radar , FoPen, for environment monitoring and ground target detection,
- Multistatic, Passive and distributed radar,
- Share aperture antenna, for multifunctional purpose,
- Radar based on consumer technologies , like GPU, SDR,
- SAR, 3D InSAR, Tomography, Polarimetry, and classification analysis,
- Change detection for abnormally or activity detection,
- Space time adaptive processing for enhanced GMTI capabilities
- Multipath exploitation radar for the detection of ground targets hidden in urban canyons,
- Coherent MIMO, to improve the directivity or relax the size and number of antenna elements,
- Phased conjugation / Time reversal.
