第一屆視覺信息與通信研討會報告VIPC2008日程安排

The First Workshop on Visual Information Perception and Communications
(VIPC2008)

The First Seminar on Theory and Key Techniques of Information Grid in Near-Earth Space

December 17-19, 2008

With the rapid development of network and multimedia, the information collection, transmission and perception instruments are changing. Network is the infrastructure for information collection and transmission. Its progress has a significant meaning to the improvement of both the traditional and potential information collection and transmission styles. Moreover, the development of multimedia and intelligent information processing techniques provides an advanced analysis tool to information perception and broadens its applications. The combination of the advantages of networks and intelligent information processing is suiting the developing requirements of the techniques and the society. As one of the most popular multimedia information---- visual information and its perception and communication are attracting more and more attentions. Thus we are going to organize a series of workshop, which provides a communication platform for researchers of this field. Researches can discuss the relevant basic theory and the potential techniques, which encourage sparkle of idea collision and subject intersection. Hopefully, this series of workshop can help us find new scientific issues and research directions.

As the platform of information collection, processing and perception----near space information grid network provides not only a new framework for the network but also the application category of the workshop. Near space information grid network is a 3D Ad Hoc network. It involves a lot of challenge basic research topics, such as optimization and dynamic adjusting of network architecture, high efficient information transmission and visual information perception. These topics are relevant to the optimization theory, network information theory, the latest intelligent router and network coding techniques, machine learning theory, image processing, analysis and understanding theory etc. We are holding the first workshop, in which we hope more researchers will join in us to explore the unknown and promote the development of science and technology. We do hope every one enjoy your time, share experiences and create the innovations!
